Domestic Abuse is never ok!

The current social distancing measures are making more people vulnerable of being victims of Domestic Abuse!

The organisation Refuge have reported a 50% rise in the number of calls to its helplines (and that just relates to those seeking help)!

If anyone believes that they are being subjected to or are likely to be affected by Domestic abuse – help IS available.

Specific helplines and refuges have been established.

The Legal Aid Agency has changed its guidelines, which they hope will make it easier for people to access independent legal advice.

The Police continue to provide services and support to protect the vulnerable. If someone is in urgent need of their assistance they can call 999 and if they are unable to speak press 55.
