Midlands Dove Mediation: Coronavirus Update
In light of the Government’s update on COVID-19 on the 4th January 2021, we can confirm we continue to offer and provide Mediation services, using remote methods.
MIAMS and Mediation sessions are available in Face to Face format or in shuttle, with our experienced Mediators as appropriate, using GDPR compliant platforms including ZOOM, Face Time and Skype
We appreciate that whilst the use of video meetings, has becoming the ‘norm’ for some people, during 2020, this is not the case for everyone. We have developed easy guides to help you understand your options.
We understand these are uncertain and unprecedented times.
Many parents are facing the prospect of trying to juggle working from home, alongside home-schooling.
Parents may be concerned about undertaking video meetings, whilst their children are in the home. We have already experienced and addressed many of the concerns felt during the March Lockdown.
Our coordinators are experienced in arranging with families appropriate and convenient appointments, taking into consideration factors which may affect the effectiveness and confidentiality of meetings.
Our Mediators are experienced and have been mediating remotely prior to the 2020 Lockdown. Please be assured the security and confidentiality of meetings is important. Our policies and procedures in place have been structured to ensure they remain so and are compliant with the standards established by the Family Mediation Council, Resolution and the Legal Aid Agency.
Positive feedback from those who have used the remote video meetings with us includes;
“Thanks so much for my appointment today. You really put me at ease. I wasn’t really sure what to expect with the Skype call. It was so easy to set up and so quick.Thank you again for all your support.”
And
“I had mediation assessment on 23.03.2020 by FaceTime.
I really recommend this kind of session. Everything was absolutely clear and understandable. We did not have any technical issues. English is my second language and it is much easier to speak face to face, also, our conversation by FaceTime did not bring me additional difficulties.
Very good solution especially in this difficult time.
Thank you.”
If you would like to have further information from us in relation to our continued remote video working practices please do not hesitate to contact us at enquiries@midlandsdove.co.uk or on 01623706020 and one of our highly experienced co-coordinators will assist you.
